Alma College has released the Dean's List for the 2018 Winter Term.
Select students have been named to the Spring 2018 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the student government at Castleton State College. The branches are the Congress, the College Court, and the Campus Activities Board. As the student government of Castleton, the SGA represents the interests of Castleton students. The SGA Vice President of Academics is responsible for the coordination of academic programs and serves as an ombudsman between the student body and administration's academic policy makers.

Sarah Silkey, Ph.D., associate professor of history at Lycoming College, has secured a $136,000 grant to analyze a rare Reconstruction-era collection of correspondence from a family with ties to the Ku Klux Klan. With this award, Lycoming joins Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Notre Dame, Boston College and other tier one research institutions in receiving one of only nine ACLS fellowships this year - a rare honor for an undergraduate institution.

Academic Recognition Scholarships are given to first-year students who have a minimum GPA of 3.75 and are nominated by their First Year Seminar professor. These students will receive an annual scholarship, enrollment in Honors courses during the sophomore year, the option to live in Honors housing, and eligibility to serve on the Honors Council.
Fifteen local Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) cadets revved up the crowd at the U.S. championship Little League game on Aug. 27 by presenting the U.S. and Pennsylvania state flag during a color guard ceremony to kick off the game. The cadets are members of the Bison ROTC Battalion, which consists of college students from Lycoming College, Penn College, Bloomsburg, Susquehanna and Bucknell Universities.
